Please pray for our Venezuelan Director and his wife, Rubén & Mely Turtulici. They are trusting
God to provide their needs but the economy is failing. MTM does not pay Rubén a salary. He is
working many hours teaching language classes to sustain his family’s basic needs. This leaves him
very little time to devote to the distribution of the supplies we are sending down. Just a few extra dollars
a month would help him cut down on his work hours and put more time into ministry. Please consider
sending monthly support to Ruben and his wife. Click the Donate button above.

(Mustard Tree Foundation in Venezuela)
In August of 2012, a group from
Fundamost of Venezuela came to the
United States for a “reverse” missions
trip. Five members of our Venezuelan
sister organization came to tell about
what Fundamost is doing to spread God’s
love in their native country.
We traveled over 4,000 miles and through
10 states.
The Venezelans spoke and served in
churches in IL and MS, helped with an
inner-city basketball camp in OH, packed
and served boxes for the Food Pantry in
Meridian, led worship at YouthQuake
Meridian, and were honored guests at The
Basement in Birmingham.

values in today’s world.
<< In January 2013, Ruben took school supplies from MTM
to the Wayuu Kindergarten run by Wayuu Pastora Rosa
in Santa Cruz de Mara.
In May 2015, Rubén, as the Monitor for Amnesty International of Zulia State, taught a workshop on “Human Rights for People with Mental Illness”
at CATESFAM, a Mental Health Clinic in Maracaibo.

2016 was a year of opportunities to help people in Venezuela who are struggling with a failed economy and severe shortages
of food and basic goods. Thanks to the many people and churches that have donated, we sent 12 large boxes (2 cu ft each)
of food and supplies for Fundamost to distribute to people in need. And that doesn’t count the box of toys and 6 boxes of
medical supplies sent directly from friends. Thank you to all who have contributed!
Fundamost has been helping people in many different areas. The 50 patients in the Psychiatric Hospital in Maracaibo were
malnourished due to the economic crisis and they had very few toiletries. The hospitals supply nothing and most do not have
families who will help. Fundamost has taken them donations of nutrition bars, vitamins, Tylenol, toiletries and canned meat.
Baby formula has been given to babies and children
in hospitals suffering from malnutrition due to the
food shortages. Special nutritional food has been
given to pregnant mothers to help them deliver
healthy babies. School supplies have been donated
to a large hospital that has set up a school room for
their younger patients. In December, toys were
distributed to children in two hospitals as part of an
annual Christmas toy distribution sponsored by
Fundamost and La Luz en Luz, a Christian medical
student organization. Other basic items including
vitamins and Tylenol have been given to many
individual families and people in need.
The need, however, is ongoing, and we hope to
continue sending boxes of basic items to Venezuela
on a regular basis. Many items can be bought there
in Venezuela, however and our dollars can go further by sending them to Rubén. We can deposit dollars in an account which
Ruben can then access to buy food and basic items. If you would like to help, click the donate button below.
In the midst of all the hardships that people are suffering in Venezuela, there is still hope for a better future. Fundamost is helping two
students with their dreams for their own futures by offering them scholarships to pay for their tuition at the universities they are attending.
One young man is studying music and the other psychology. Both are Christians who want to use the gifts God has given them, but they
need special academic training. These 2 young men are barely surviving in the current economy and would not be able to attend the
universities if it wasn’t for the Fundamost scholarships. Ruben and Mely have been paying these out of their own pockets. Ruben wold like
to help more than just these two but is unable to do so on his own. Tuition runs about $300 per student per year. The future of Venezuela is
in the hands of her young people. Would you consider helping? Click the donate button below. Note what your donation is for in the note
area provided by PayPal.) Also this past year, Ruben has had the opportunity to teach English to several students and their moms in China
via Skype. Pray for him as he uses this tool to share God’s love with them.
